Today I’d like to post the often forgotten fourth stanza of the Star Spangled Banner.<\/p>\n
Oh thus be it ever<\/p>\n
When free men shall stand<\/p>\n
Between their loved homes<\/p>\n
And the war’s desolation<\/p>\n
Blessed with vict’ry and peace<\/p>\n
May this heav’n rescued land<\/p>\n
Praise the God that hath made<\/p>\n
And preserved us a nation.<\/p>\n
And conquer we must<\/p>\n
If our cause, it is just.<\/p>\n
And this be our motto:<\/p>\n
In God is our trust.<\/p>\n
And the Star-Spangled Banner<\/p>\n
In triumph doth wave<\/p>\n
O’er the land of the free<\/p>\n
